Ocean science and engineering Ph.D. program welcomes first class, including 3 in CEE

Benjamin Hurwitz, Alexandra Muscalus, and Youngjun Son, the three civil and environmental engineering students who are part of the inaugural class of the ocean science and engineering Ph.D. program.

Ten students will begin studies this fall in Georgia Tech’s new ocean science and engineering Ph.D. program. The interdisciplinary program’s first class includes three students in civil and environmental engineering.

Team SEVEN Engineering wins top prize among record 7 CEE teams competing at Capstone Expo

SEVEN Engineering’s site development plan for a proposed medical office building in Cobb County, Georgia, won the top prize among civil and environmental engineering teams at the spring 2017 Capstone Design Expo. The team was one of seven to present their project at the campus-wide senior design showcase.
