Civil and Environmental Engineering Programs Rank Among Nation’s Best

U.S. News & World Report has released its 2022 list of the nation’s best undergraduate engineering programs, confirming Georgia Tech as a top-tier destination for future civil and environmental engineers.

Georgia Tech’s environmental engineering program climbed to No. 3 in the nation, while civil engineering earned the No. 2 spot on the annual list.

“These outstanding rankings reflect the excellence of our students, faculty and staff,” said Donald Webster, the Karen and John Huff Chair of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering. “I am honored that our programs continue to be recognized among the very finest in the nation.”

Overall, the College of Engineering was listed at No. 4 in the country and ranked second among public universities. Each of Georgia Tech’s undergraduate engineering programs ranked in the top five.

For the past two decades, civil engineering has ranked among the nation’s top five programs, and environmental engineering has been listed in the top 10 since the program was established at Georgia Tech in 2006.
