Karen and John Huff School Chair Donald Webster will represent Georgia Tech in a leadership-building and collaboration program through the Atlantic Coast Conference this year.

Webster will be one of several campus leaders to participate in the inaugural year of the ACC Academic Leaders Network. Designed for faculty with some academic leadership experience, the program will include three sessions throughout the year that focus on higher education trends, strategic thinking, and other kinds of leadership issues.

“I’m very much looking forward to gathering with some of my Georgia Tech colleagues as well as faculty leaders around the ACC to learn from each other and build our leadership capacity,” Webster said. “It’s important to have these opportunities to step back briefly from the day-to-day and spend time growing in our abilities. I’m gratified to be chosen for Tech’s first group in the Academic Leaders Network.”

Webster will join College of Sciences Associate Dean Julia Kubanek, School of Physics Chair Pablo Laguna, graduate education Associate Vice Provost Leslie Sharp, and School of Modern Languages Chair Anna Stenport in the program this year.

“As much as anything, the prospect of building relationships with leaders at other ACC institutions will be of tremendous value,” Webster said. “I’m excited about the year ahead.”
