The work of CEE Associate Chair Dr. Donald Webster and his colleagues has been recognized by the Bioinspiration & Biomimetics Journal as one of the "Highlights of 2012."
The article, "Bioinspired Algorithm for Autonomous Sensor-driven Guidance in Turbulent Chemical Plumes" was co-authored by Webster and CEE post-doc Dr. Konstantin Volyanskyy and Georgia Tech biology professor Dr. Marc Weissburg.
According to Journal publisher Andrew Malloy, "articles chosen for the Highlights represent the excellence of the work published in the journal last year, and were selected for their presentation of outstanding new research, praise from our international referees, and highest number of downloads."
Webster and his colleagues originally submitted their piece in February 2012. It was published in the June 2012 edition of the Journal.
